Description

The U.S. Mission to Pakistan is seeking proposals for capacity building to effectively implement online campaigns aimed at preventing violent extremism. The selected organization(s) will develop and implement public diplomacy programs using online media tools and strategies to change social discourse and reduce acceptance of extremist narratives and ideology. The funding for this project ranges from $150,000 to $250,000, with a duration of up to 18 months. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, civil society/non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and public and private educational institutions. For-profit entities are not eligible to apply. The goal of this grant is to strengthen local institutions and organizations in Pakistan to effectively use online media for interventions that reduce violent extremism and contribute to a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Pakistan.
