GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant Program

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is accepting applications for the GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant Program. Funded institutions must implement a comprehensive, public health, and evidence-based approach to prevent student suicide, improve behavioral health treatment access, and promote help-seeking behaviors while reducing mental health stigma. This program is statutorily limited to institutions of higher education, with at least six awards reserved for junior or community colleges depending on application volume, and requires a cost-sharing or matching commitment. The agency estimates total program funding of $8,830,039 to support an expected 71 awards with an individual ceiling of $125,000.
