The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is offering a funding opportunity through the FY2025 Sea Grant program to address Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) in coastal and estuarine waters. This initiative aims to leverage partnerships among federal, state, and academic institutions to research and monitor harmful substances such as PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics, with a focus on species of ecological significance and the multi-stressor effects of these contaminants. Up to $1.4 million is available for projects that span three years, with a mandatory 50% non-federal match requirement, and proposals must be submitted by May 23, 2025. Interested applicants can contact the National Sea Grant Office at sg.grants@noaa.gov for further information.
