Projects of National Significance
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The Administration for Community Living is forecasting a funding opportunity titled "Projects of National Significance," aimed at supporting initiatives that enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. This cooperative agreement will focus on creating opportunities for these individuals to participate fully in community life and to influence national and state policies that promote their self-determination and inclusion. With an estimated total program funding of $3,750,000, the agency anticipates awarding approximately 10 grants, each ranging from $350,000 to $400,000. Eligible Applicants
SEC. 162. of the DD Act of 2000 states that "The Secretary shall award grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to public or private nonprofit entities for projects of national significance relating to individuals with developmental disabilities to carry out activities described in section 161(2)." Foreign entities are not eligible to compete for, or receive, awards made under this announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
