The National Park Service is offering the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program to provide financial assistance for the preservation and interpretation of historic Japanese American confinement sites from World War II. Eligible applicants include state and local agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and tribal governments, all of which are encouraged to submit projects that identify, research, evaluate, protect, and restore these significant historical locations. This grant program, authorized under Public Law 109-441, has a total estimated funding of $3 million, with individual awards ranging from $5,000 to $500,000.
