The U.S. Mission to Turkmenistan, under the agency name U.S. Embassy Ashgabat, is seeking proposals for the implementation of the American Spaces Programs project at four American Spaces in Turkmenistan. The programs will focus on enhancing English skills, introducing STEM skills, developing business skills, and raising awareness about climate change. The primary audience for these programs will be Turkmen youth ages 10 to 25, including girls and women, school and university students, and young professionals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The selected implementer will be responsible for planning, executing, closing, and monitoring and evaluating the programs. The expected implementation period is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025. Interested candidates can apply to administer all or some of the suggested programs. The programs aim to increase mutual understanding between the United States and Turkmenistan through experiential learning activities that promote English language, innovation, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, and gender equality in STEM. The primary audiences for the American Spaces Program in Turkmenistan are school and university students, teachers, young professionals, girls and women, civil society representatives, and USG programs alumni. The program objectives include enhancing STEM and problem-solving skills, creating a network of youth interested in tech and STEM, increasing English language skills, and increasing knowledge and awareness of climate change mitigation efforts. The program also aims to increase interest in business and entrepreneurship among local youth through training on business development and economics. The potential implementer should have clear goals and objectives for each program, as well as plans for reporting on success and impact, social media presence, and logistics.
