The U.S. Geological Survey is offering a cooperative agreement opportunity for a partner affiliated with the Great Rivers Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) to conduct research on floodplain forest canopy loss and regeneration, as well as to compare in situ and remote vegetation survey methods in the Upper Mississippi River System. Eligible applicants must be participating partners of the CESU Program, which focuses on providing research, technical assistance, and education in ecosystem studies. The total estimated funding for this program is $71,707, with no cost-sharing or matching requirements, and applications must be submitted electronically by December 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET.
