The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering a cooperative agreement aimed at strengthening and developing sustainable global public health and epidemiological workforce capacity through collaboration, program development, and implementation. This initiative seeks to address public health workforce development needs, enhance the ability to prevent, detect, and respond to diseases, and strengthen epidemiologic workforce capacity at a global level, particularly in light of recent public health threats such as COVID-19 and Ebola. The total estimated funding for this program is $100 million, with an expected three awards to be made, and applications must be submitted electronically by January 2, 2026, to be considered.
