The Combat Capabilities Development Command, Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit qualified contractors for the development of advanced semi-autonomous standoff Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) Raman systems aimed at detecting explosives, chemicals, and opioids. The primary objective is to gather insights on contractors' capabilities to meet specific technical requirements, including operation at or below 262 nm, on-board data processing, and effective detection at distances exceeding one meter, all while ensuring portability. This initiative is critical for enhancing the U.S. Army's situational awareness and response to hazardous materials in potentially dangerous environments. Interested contractors must submit their responses by May 30, 2024, with an expected award ceiling of $15 million for the project.
