The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is inviting proposals for the FY 2025 Bluefin Tuna Research Program, aimed at enhancing science-based fisheries management for Atlantic bluefin tuna. This program seeks to improve understanding of bluefin tuna populations, including their biology, movement, and total abundance, with a focus on collaboration with the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). Approximately $600,000 is available to fund up to five projects, with individual grants ranging from $25,000 to $300,000, and proposals must be submitted by November 1, 2024. Interested applicants, including small businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofits, should contact Dax Ruiz at Dax.Ruiz@noaa.gov for further information and ensure registration in federal systems prior to submission.
