The Department of Education is offering the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) Partnership Grants, aimed at supporting eligible students from low-income backgrounds in obtaining secondary school diplomas and preparing for postsecondary education. This discretionary grant program invites partnerships that include at least one degree-granting institution of higher education and one local educational agency, along with additional community organizations or entities, to collaborate on initiatives that foster educational success. With an estimated total program funding of $36.5 million and an award ceiling of $5 million, the Department anticipates awarding approximately 29 grants. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by June 25, 2025, and can reach out to Ben Witthoefft at the U.S. Department of Education for further information at Ben.Witthoefft@ed.gov.
