The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District, is seeking contractors for the Lexington Harbor Breakwater Repairs project in Michigan. The objective of this procurement is to provide construction services to repair the north breakwater, which involves altering the existing permeable structure to an impermeable one by constructing a grout curtain wall and reconstructing the Portland cement concrete walkway. This project is critical for preventing sand infiltration within the harbor, ensuring the structural integrity of the breakwater. The anticipated solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside, with a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract expected to be awarded based on the lowest priced, responsible bid. Interested contractors should note that the solicitation is expected to be posted in January/February 2026, with proposals due in February/March 2026. For further inquiries, contractors can contact Noah Bruck at Noah.R.Bruck@usace.army.mil or Stephanie M. Craig at Stephanie.M.Craig@usace.army.mil.
