Dimensional Metrology Service

NIST's Communications Technology Laboratory requires precision dimensional measurements and CAD models of its 1.85 mm airline calibration kit. The purpose is to develop accurate electromagnetic models for scattering parameter traceability up to 67 GHz. The contractor must measure 14 components, including outer and inner conductor tubes and short devices, ensuring uncertainties are less than 18 micrometers for diameter/length and 3 micrometers for connectors, with traceability to NIST standards. Additionally, the contractor will integrate these measurements into CAD models compatible with finite element software. The work will be performed at the vendor's facility, with deliverables due within 60 days of order receipt. NIST will provide the calibration kit and inspect deliverables for accuracy and compliance, reserving the right to reject non-conforming items. Contractor personnel must adhere to NIST's safety and security protocols, including identification badges and vehicle registration.
