Special Notice DEPT OF DEFENSE DEPT OF THE NAVY: Request for Solutions: Aviation Universal Charger
The Department of the Navy, specifically the Naval Sea Systems Command at NSWC CRANE, has issued a Special Notice for a Request for Solutions (RFS) for an Aviation Universal Charger. This RFS aims to solicit innovative proposals for a fieldable, deployable, and functional way to maintain, analyze, charge, and discharge both legacy and future aviation batteries.
The purpose of this RFS is to find a solution that can effectively handle the charging and maintenance needs of aviation batteries. The Government intends to evaluate the proposals and award a Project Order under the Expeditionary Missions Consortium (EMC2) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) in accordance with 10 U.S.C. § 4022.
Interested vendors must be members of the EMC2 and can find membership information on the emccrane.org website. The RFS is expected to be released on or around August 13, 2024, via the EMC2 weblink.
The project will follow a three-phased approach, starting with preliminary design review and closeout, followed by critical design review and closeout, and finally prototypes and testing. The Government and the selected vendor will collaborate throughout the process.
To view the upcoming RFS, interested parties should visit the EMC2 website at https://emccrane.org/ after August 13, 2024. The RFS will also be notified to all consortium members by the EMC2 consortium manager.
