The Department of Transportation, specifically the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is conducting a market survey and capability assessment for the manufacturing of Radio Frequency (RF) Klystron interface cables as part of the Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) Transmitter Control Module (TCM) Service Life Extension Program. The objective is to enhance TDWR operations at remote sites by addressing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) issues that affect performance, requiring contractors to provide coaxial cable assemblies that meet stringent electrical specifications, including frequency range, VSWR, impedance, insertion loss, and RF shielding. These cables are critical for ensuring reliable radar operations, and the selected contractor must deliver the specified quantity of assemblies within 16 weeks of order receipt to a designated location in Oklahoma City. Interested parties should contact Jennifer Lucas at jennifer.l.lucas@faa.gov for further information.
