The Department of Defense, through the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Office (JCO), is soliciting whitepapers for a demonstration focused on detecting, tracking, identifying, and defeating small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) within contested electromagnetic environments. The JCO is particularly interested in systems capable of short-range defeat (up to 2 km) using small arms munitions or kinetic interceptors, as well as dismounted systems for Groups 1 and 2 UAS, including handheld and wearable solutions. This initiative is crucial for enhancing military capabilities against sUAS threats, and proposals must demonstrate resilience against interference, with a focus on the frequency range of 30 MHz – 20,000 MHz. Interested parties should submit their whitepapers by the specified deadlines, and for further inquiries, they can contact Jolynda Ivy at jolynda.v.ivy.civ@army.mil or Simone Brightmon at simone.l.brightmon.civ@army.mil.
