NIST has issued a Sources Sought Notice (NIST-SS26-CHIPS-29) for an Environmental Test Chamber and a Water Recirculation System. This is part of the CHIPS Act, supporting metrology research for semiconductor device manufacturing, specifically Grand Challenge 1: Metrology for Materials Purity, Properties, and Provenance. NIST requires instruments to evaluate 2D and wide bandgap materials to improve device reliability. The Environmental Test Chamber needs to have a >1.5 Cu Ft workspace, temperature range of -35°C to +175°C, humidity 10%-95% RH, GN2 purge, four event relays, electronic touchscreen, high/low limit control, viewing window, 4-inch access ports, non-CFC refrigeration, 120V input, and a 3-year parts/1-year labor warranty. The Water Recirculation System must be compatible, closed-loop, use tap water, include pumps and connectors, and a 3-year supply of filters. Responses should include company information, product specifications, customization capabilities, any unmet specifications, manufacturing location, NAICS code status, available services (installation, training, maintenance), standard terms, facility renovation services, pricing, existing federal contracts, customer references, and any additional valuable information.
