The United States Air Force is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) for the new manufacture of “Housing, Gearbox” (NSN 2840-00-110-6672 OK, P/N 37R601155P139). This SSS, issued by the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, aims to identify potential sources, including various small business categories, to determine if the requirement can be competitive or set aside for small businesses. There is no solicitation available, and the government does not intend to award a contract based on this market research. Potential sources must be capable of providing all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment for manufacturing, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping of the item, with an estimated spares requirement of 1,500 units. Interested parties are required to complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package and submit business information by February 6, 2026.
