The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a sole source procurement for Equine Assisted Services (EAS) from SUNY Cobleskill to support Veterans enrolled in psychological and chemical dependency treatment at the Albany VA Medical Center. This initiative aims to continue a partnership established in 2019, focusing on the therapeutic benefits of Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) to enhance the quality of life and self-dependence of participating Veterans. The contractor will be responsible for staffing, horse care, training site management, and developing individual treatment plans in collaboration with VA mental health providers, with services to be conducted within a 55-mile radius of the Albany VAMC.
