The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is seeking contractors for the Savannah Harbor Entrance Channel Maintenance Dredging project in Georgia. This procurement involves maintenance dredging using hopper dredges capable of removing fine sands and silts to a depth of -51 MLLW, with the dredged material to be transported up to 15 miles for disposal in designated offshore areas. The project is critical for maintaining navigation in the Savannah Harbor, which is vital for regional commerce and shipping activities. The contract, estimated to be valued between $5 million and $10 million, will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price Contract, with an environmental window for dredging set from December 15 to March 31.
