The US Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking information from diverse organizations and individuals for its new Trade and Economic Growth Activity program. The goal is to diversify Turkmenistan's economy and enhance its trade opportunities, aligning with the country's National Action Plan for Socioeconomic Development.
This program focuses on addressing challenges related to expanding businesses in Turkmenistan, particularly in terms of improving trade routes and the investment climate. USAID seeks recommendations and strategies from experienced organizations to achieve these objectives. The agency wants to streamline border crossings, increase business transparency, and clarify regulations to foster a dynamic and resilient economy.
USAID is interested in gathering insights on the difficulties of goods transportation and any potential solutions. Additionally, the agency seeks to understand organizations' abilities to work with local governments and businesses, their economic development experience, and their vision for sustainable growth.
This Request for Information (RFI) is a preliminary step to gather insights, and responses are requested in English, Turkmen, or Russian. Interested parties are invited to provide their input by September 12, 2024.
It's important to note that this RFI does not constitute a formal solicitation or invitation for applications, and USAID will not be accepting contracts or applications at this stage.
