The Department of Defense, through the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Panama City Division, intends to solicit a firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of Maritime Buoyant Plates (MBP). This procurement aims to fulfill the U.S. Navy's critical need for additional quantities of MBP, which are essential for enhancing ballistic protection for personnel engaged in Antiterrorism Force Protection (ATFP) and Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) missions. The MBP is a vital component of the Maritime Armor System (MAS) and is used by U.S. Navy Afloat Forces to ensure safety during operations.
