Background: The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VA GLA) Medical Research has been asked to store the biorepository from the Air Force Health Study (AFHS). AFHS was a longitudinal, prospective epidemiologic study initiated by the U.S. Air Force in 1979 with the purpose of determining the effects of Operation Ranch Hand the program responsible for herbicide spraying in Vietnam on U.S. Air Force personnel. The AFHS repository consists of thousands of biospecimens that require temperature controlled storage. Research Service requires portable freezers for transporting samples from stationary, upright freezers in Rooms 120 and 121 in VA West Los Angeles Building 113. Place of Performance: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 11301 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90073 NOTE: Potential offers must be aware that the items being acquired are procured as Brand Name or Equal.
