Product Manager Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The Department of Defense, through the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), intends to award a sole-source contract to Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS for the development, production, and sustainment of the Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Launcher Unit (NLU) and Weapon Control System (WCS) for the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) launcher. This procurement is necessary due to the U.S. Government's lack of technical data rights required for competitive acquisition, which ensures that the subsystems function together effectively. The contract is expected to be awarded in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, with a performance period extending from June 2026 through June 2034.
