The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District, is conducting market research for maintenance dredging at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay Entrance Channel in St. Marys, Georgia. The objective is to assess the feasibility of utilizing mechanical dredges to supplement existing hopper dredging operations, which are currently limited to a specific seasonal window. This project is critical for maintaining safe navigation for naval vessels, with an estimated dredging quantity of 854,500 cubic yards across various channel segments, including depths of 44, 45, and 49 feet. Interested parties must submit their responses to the Request for Information (RFI) by 5:00 PM EST on January 9, 2026, to Meredith Coad at Meredith.C.Coad@usace.army.mil and Ruth Rodriguez at Ruth.C.Rodriguez@usace.army.mil.
