The Department of Defense, specifically the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, is seeking proposals for the Collective Judgment Formation Collaborative Research Alliance (CJF CRA) aimed at enhancing understanding of human-agent interactions in AI-supported decision-making, particularly within intelligence operations. The program focuses on three technical areas: Social Science Theories for Human-Agent Systems, Computational Models for Human-Agent Systems, and Testing, Evaluation, and Transitions, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration among teams of up to six principal investigators. This initiative is critical for advancing military decision-making capabilities in the face of evolving challenges posed by generative AI technologies. Interested parties must submit white papers by September 25, 2024, with notifications of awards expected in December 2024; for further inquiries, contact Dr. Edward T. Palazzolo or Dr. Robert St. Amant at cjf-cra-baa@army.mil.
