The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Army, has issued a Sources Sought notice for the removal of underground fuel storage tanks. This procurement is set aside for small businesses and falls under the category of repair or alteration of fuel supply facilities. The work includes the removal of two 5,000-gallon double-walled steel underground storage tanks (USTs), along with associated underground utilities. Other tasks include tank cleaning/closure, excavation, constructing staging areas, staging/stockpiling soils, confirmatory tank grave sampling, regulatory reporting, demolition of existing dispensers and kiosk island, and any other work necessary to return the site to operability as a vehicle maintenance secure parking area.
