The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a contract laboratory to conduct high-resolution analysis of δ13C and δ18O isotope ratio measurements on sedimentary rock samples. The project requires the contractor to perform 1,300 measurements using isotope ratio mass spectrometry while adhering to strict quality assurance protocols to ensure sample integrity and data security. This initiative is part of a broader effort to address the nation's mineral crisis and emphasizes the importance of rigorous laboratory testing in geological research. Interested small businesses, particularly those classified as ISBEE, 8(a), HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Women-Owned, are invited to submit capability statements by December 31, 2024, to Jennifer Rollin at jrollin@usgs.gov or by phone at 303-236-9321, as the results will inform USGS's acquisition strategy.
