    The VA Greater Los Angeles Medical Center Department of Medical Research at the West Los Angeles (WLA) and Sepulveda (SEP) Campuses requires a contract for medical cylinder gases, including Liquid Nitrogen, Argon Gas, Compressed Air, Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen, and Custom Liquid Gas Mixes. All gases must conform to USP and National Formulary specifications, and manufacturers/fillers must be FDA registered and comply with CGMP regulations (21 CFR Parts 210, 211, and 201). Contractors must provide annual verification of current FDA and state licenses/certifications/registrations, or reseller agreements if not the manufacturer. Deliveries are recurring and automatic, primarily to research labs between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, with old tanks swapped out. Emergency orders must be filled within 24 hours. Cylinders must comply with DOT specifications, be maintained, filled, marked, labeled, and shipped according to current DOT regulations (49 CFR), Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and CGA publications for marking, color coding, and valves.
