The USDA's Agricultural Research Service seeks quotes for a 100% Small Business Set-Aside contract to service four thermocyclers at their laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland.
The primary objective is to obtain certified maintenance services for these essential pieces of laboratory equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently. Offerors are expected to demonstrate the capacity to meet performance benchmarks outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).
The scope of work requires a certified service technician to perform the services using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Offerors must provide a firm fixed price quotation detailing the item description, place of manufacture, and total price, valid for at least 60 days after submission.
To be eligible, applicants should fall under the specified NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) and meet the small business size standard of 1,000 employees. Additionally, they must submit a Unique Entity ID (UEI) and complete the necessary representations and certifications on sam.gov.
The contract is expected to be funded through FAA FAC 2024-05, with the USDA ARS seeking a single service agreement for the maintenance of the thermocyclers. Quotes should be submitted on official company letterhead in a PDF format. The submission deadline is available on Sam.gov, with inquiries due two days prior to this deadline.
The contract award will be based on the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criterion. Price will be the determining factor among offerors who meet the technical requirements.
