The Department of Defense, through the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center in Sigonella, Spain, is conducting a market survey to identify firms capable of performing refurbishment and repair services for the MK-41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) utilized by the U.S. Navy and allied military vessels. The contractor will be responsible for providing management, technical support, labor, materials, and equipment necessary for repairs, inspections, and refurbishments, ensuring the operational readiness of destroyers as part of NATO's missile defense strategy. The MK-41 VLS is critical for launching missiles, having achieved a 99% success rate in over 4,200 launches, underscoring its importance in naval operations. Interested businesses should submit a Statement of Capability, including their business size, DUNS number, CAGE code, and relevant past performance information, to Ana Cruz-Zavala at ana.m.cruz-zavala.civ@us.navy.mil by the specified deadline, as the government will not reimburse any costs incurred in response to this notice.
