The Department of the Navy is conducting market research for the acquisition of a Range Training Support Craft (RTSC) intended for at-sea retrieval of exercise torpedoes and related tasks. The RTSC is required to replace outdated legacy vessels, incorporating modern features such as integrated crane capabilities to support Unmanned Undersea Systems. The Navy plans to award a contract in Q1 FY27 for one RTSC, which should have a 95 ft aluminum hull, raised pilothouse, transom ramp, deck cranes, and a 200 sq ft electronics equipment compartment, with specific operational characteristics including a maximum draft of 8 ft, a speed of 12-14+ knots, and endurance of 7-10 days. Interested parties must submit capability summaries, including company information and relevant experience, by October 1, 2025, to Joseph Saponaro at joseph.f.saponaro.civ@us.navy.mil or Temika Morris at temika.m.morris.civ@us.navy.mil.
