The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking input through a Request for Information (RFI) for a new Laboratory Specimen Transport Activity aimed at enhancing the specimen referral and diagnostic network within Mozambique's public health system. This initiative, anticipated to span five years from 2026 to 2030, focuses on optimizing the collection, packaging, and transportation of medical specimens from health facilities to reference laboratories, as well as the return of results to the originating points. The activity is crucial for addressing public health challenges, including HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, and aligns with ongoing U.S. government investments in laboratory services and healthcare management. Interested stakeholders must submit their responses by September 9, 2024, and can direct inquiries to Henrique Cuambe at hcuambe@usaid.gov or by phone at +258 853 339 080.
