    Sources Sought ENERGY, DEPARTMENT OF is seeking a small article monitor to detect low levels of potential radioactive contamination. The monitor will be used to determine monitoring out of small items from potentially radiologically contaminated areas. The monitor should validate that the total Beta/Gamma activity in an item is less than 450 pCi/item. It should have a minimum size (interior) of 15”x15”x18” and include natural background reduction and a minimum 2” Lead Shielding (or equivalent). The counting time for Co-60 should be 120 secs and for Cs-137 should be 420 secs to reach a total beta/gamma activity of less than 450 pCi.
