The Department of Defense seeks quotes for a small business set-aside contract to enhance the network infrastructure of the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC) at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The primary objective is the installation of robust network equipment and cabling within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), emphasizing security and ease of installation.
The scope of work involves installing IT infrastructure, including floor-mounted network cabinets, single-mode armored fiber cabling, patch panels, and power distribution units, while ensuring no drilling through the raised floor is required. Vendors are expected to design a floor-mounted metal raceway system and provide detailed width requirements for a seamless fiber optic connection. The contractor will be responsible for the delivery and installation of the required equipment, with an emphasis on security and reliability.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the requirements outlined in the FAR clauses, including those related to small businesses and anti-corruption measures. The government encourages participants to present their most competitive initial offers, as it intends to evaluate them based on technical expertise, past performance, and price, with technical capabilities given the highest weight.
The contract, valued at an estimated $19 million, will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price type, with the possibility of an all or none award. Offerors should submit their quotes by the deadline on August 14, 2024, and participate in the site visit scheduled for July 19, 2024.
