The Department of Defense, specifically the U.S. Army Engineer District Mobile, is announcing a presolicitation for the construction of a permanent Projectile Penetration Research Facility (PPRF) in Vicksburg, Mississippi. This project entails the construction of a 9,900 square foot facility designed for projectile penetration testing, which includes various specialized rooms and supporting infrastructure such as utilities, lighting, and landscaping. The estimated contract value ranges from $10 million to $25 million, and it is set aside for small businesses, defined as those with average annual receipts of less than $45 million. Interested contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and monitor the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) website for solicitation documents and updates, with a site visit and request for information process to be detailed in the solicitation package.
