The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Army, is seeking to extend services under a sole source contract for Facility Maintenance and Repairs Services for the conveyor system at DLA Distribution Europe. This extension is necessary to prevent a gap in service that would hinder the timely fulfillment of customer requirements in the EUCOM, CENTCOM, and AFRICOM areas, as the current contract expired on March 17, 2023. This is a sole source action to extend services under contract W564KV-20-P-0111 to continue to provide Facility Maintenance and Repairs Services to the for the conveyor system at DLA Distribution Europe. The current contract expired on 17 March 2023. The action will result in a six month contract W564KV-23-P-0019. This contract has Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract Line Items (CLINs). A gap in performance of the services under this contract would prevent DLA Distribution Europe to timely fulfill customers’ requirements in EUCOM, CENTCOM and AFRICOM area. The extension of the contract period will allow contract services to continue until full performance of the follow-on competitive contract is achieved. This extension will allow time for the completion of the source selection process for the follow-on contract, which is currently underway under solicitation number W564KV-23-Q-0011. The sole source action to extend services is required to allow adequate time for the award, possible phase-in, and full performance period of the new contract.
