The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Air Force, intends to solicit a sole source contract for Remote Monitoring Units (RMUs) to support Cathodic Protection (CP) systems at U.S. Air Force Petroleum Oil Lubricants (POL) sites. The requirement includes providing prepaid cellular and satellite data services for 381 RMUs, which will monitor critical parameters such as rectifier AC input voltage, DC output voltage, and structure potentials to prevent corrosion of fuel tanks and pipelines. The ELECSYS Corporation, a commercial provider of RMUs, will deliver these services, which are vital for enhancing data collection, recordkeeping, and troubleshooting capabilities.
