Special Notice: NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION is seeking partners interested in licensing the Layered Composite Insulation for Extreme Conditions (LCX) technology. LCX is a layered composite insulation system designed for nonvacuum applications and extreme environmental exposure conditions. It is particularly suited for insulating complex piping or tank systems that are difficult to insulate by conventional means. The LCX system consists of several functional layers and can be tailored to specific thermal and mechanical performance requirements. It not only provides thermal insulation but also withstands impact, vibration, and thermal expansion and contraction stresses. NASA is currently seeking companies interested in licensing LCX for commercial applications. To express interest, submit a license application through NASA's Automated Technology Licensing Application System (ATLAS). For more information, visit the NASA Technology Transfer Portal. No follow-on procurement is expected from this notice.
