The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), specifically the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the use of Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) in civil infrastructure applications. The primary objective of this RFI is to gather insights from industry stakeholders to enhance preliminary planning capabilities and assess the availability and expertise of FRP products in design, engineering, and construction, while also identifying potential industry challenges. FRPs are composite materials that play a crucial role in various applications, including structural composites, waterfront structures, and reinforcing materials, which are essential for modern infrastructure projects. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their responses by November 13, 2024, with early submissions preferred for Fiscal Year 2025 planning. All inquiries and submissions should be directed to Erica Taylor, Senior Procurement Analyst, at erica.j.taylor@usace.army.mil.
