The Department of Defense, through the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker AFB, is seeking contractors for the remanufacture of B-1 Heat Exchangers, specifically NSN 1660-01-143-7829. Contractors will be responsible for the complete remanufacturing process, which includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, re-assembly, testing, and finishing to restore the heat exchangers to like-new condition, with an estimated requirement of 12 units for the base year and 8 units for the option period. These heat exchangers are critical for cooling high-temperature air in B-1 aircraft, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The contract is a firm-fixed-price agreement lasting three years, with an option for an additional two years, and a formal solicitation is expected to be issued around March 10, 2025.
