The U.S. Department of State is seeking qualified contractors to provide elevator preventive maintenance services for the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain. The contract will encompass routine maintenance to ensure the elevators operate safely, reliably, and efficiently, adhering to the manufacturer's warranty requirements. This firm fixed-price contract will cover all associated costs, including materials, labor, and insurance, with an anticipated performance period of one base year and four optional one-year extensions. Interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and are encouraged to prepare for a pre-proposal conference, with the solicitation expected to be issued electronically on SAM.gov in late January or early February 2026. The U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Madrid, Spain requires services to maintain building elevatorsin safe, reliable and efficient operating condition.   The contract type is a firm fixed price contract for routine maintenance services paid at the monthly rate below*.*  These rates include all costs associated with providing elevator maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer’s warranty including materials, labor, insurance (see FAR 52.228-4 and 52.228-5), overhead, profit and VAT.

The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered.

The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.

The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference and the date for this conference will be included in the solicitation.

The Government plans to issue the solicitation in late January or early February 2026.

The solicitation will be issued electronically on SAM.gov.  No paper copies will be mailed.

All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.

In accordance with DOSAR 652.242-73 AUTHORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE (AUG 1999), all contractors must possess all permits and licenses required to do business in Spain.  All offerors will be required to provide proof that they already possess said permits as part of their offer.
