Solicitation for U.S. Personal Services Contractor (USPSC) as Senior Commodities and Supply Chain Advisor (SCSCA)
The AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT is seeking a U.S. Personal Services Contractor (USPSC) as a Senior Commodities and Supply Chain Advisor (SCSCA). This position will be based in ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE.
The Senior Commodities and Supply Chain Advisor will provide technical expertise and leadership in planning, implementation, and monitoring of program commodities and supply chain activities. This includes procurement and logistics functions related to HIV, malaria, Tuberculosis, family planning, and other life-saving commodities. The position will support the expansion of the health sector portfolio in Côte d’Ivoire, focusing on areas such as HIV/AIDS, family planning/reproductive health, maternal and child health, immunization, and neglected tropical diseases.
The role is crucial in addressing significant health challenges faced by Côte d’Ivoire, including HIV prevalence, fertility rate, unmet need for family planning services, neglected tropical diseases, and malaria. The USAID/WEST AFRICA REGIONAL office is committed to strengthening local capacities in leadership, governance, and sustainability of health programs, systems, and services.
This solicitation is part of USAID's efforts to support Côte d’Ivoire's transition into an emerging economy and improve the availability of commodities to initiate and retain positive people on treatment, reducing transmission and increasing prevalence. The estimated annual spending for technical assistance, procurement, management, and distribution of HIV, malaria, Tuberculosis, family planning, and other life-saving commodities in Côte d’Ivoire is approximately $24 million.
