    Description

    The Veterans Affairs Department is seeking a Tai Chi Instructor to provide Integrative Health Services, including movement therapies, to veterans at the Lexington VA Health Care System. The instructor must be trained according to standards outlined by the American Tai Chi and Qi Gong Association (ATCQGA) and have completed at least 150 documented hours of formal training. They must also be certified by ATCQGA and have a current CPR certification or complete BLS through the VA before offering classes. Services will be provided in a safe, effective, and non-judgmental manner, taking into consideration the individual needs of the recipients. The instructor will be responsible for offering Tai Chi classes for 2 hours per week, accommodating 1-12 participants in group sessions. The schedule will run Monday through Friday, between 0700-1900, with the exception of 11 Federal Holidays. The contractor must attend required team meetings at the Lexington VA Medical Center and provide clinical notes in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) electronic health record system. The government will furnish all supplies and equipment, and the instructor will be paid an hourly rate for a total of 2 classes per week and 2 whole health events.
