The scope involves delivering bread and bakery products to the Nashville VA Medical Center three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The products must conform to strict federal regulations and include:
The contractor must ensure consistent delivery, even during emergencies or disasters, and accommodate special orders with short notice.
The contractor must provide a detailed work plan and brief the VA project team on their approach. They will also be responsible for delivering the specified bakery products according to the provided schedule and terms.
The contractor must be a U.S. vendor and citizen, capable of ensuring sanitary and safe deliveries. The VA reserves the right to inspect the premises and employees to ensure compliance with the specifications. Businesses must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and, if applicable, with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The estimated contract value is between $30,000 and $45,000 over the five-year period. The contract type is likely to be a firm, fixed-price contract. Payment will be made through Electronic Fund Transfer or, for smaller amounts, the Government Purchase Card.
