The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District, is preparing to solicit bids for the FY26 Saginaw Maintenance Dredging and Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) / Dredged Material Disposal Facility (DMDF) Maintenance project, located in Saginaw and Bay City, Michigan. This project involves maintenance dredging to address shoaling in the Upper River and Lower Bay, ensuring the continued operation of the federal navigational channel, along with routine maintenance of the government-owned CDF and DMDF. The contract will be a firm-fixed price and is set aside exclusively for small businesses, with an anticipated solicitation posting date in January 2026 and proposal due date in February 2026.
