Presolicitation DEPT OF DEFENSE Disease Vector Surveillance in Djibouti
The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Navy, is planning to award a sole source contract for Disease Vector Surveillance in Djibouti. This contract will be awarded to the Entomology Coordinator at the National Malaria Control Program (PNLP) in Balbala, Djibouti. The purpose of this contract is to collect data for the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division, Global Emerging Infections Surveillance (GEIS) to monitor the status of important mosquito disease vectors, including the invasive Asian malaria vector Anopheles stephensi, in urban and peri-urban areas in Djibouti City, Djibouti.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement to Benjamin Hardy at benjamin.n.hardy.civ@us.navy.mil, which will be considered by the agency before the intended award date. It is important to note that interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking proprietary information. The Government will not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No telephonic inquiries will be honored, and no capability briefings will be scheduled as a result of this notice. The Government's decision not to compete with this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within its discretion.
