Software Defined Radio for Link Diversity
STTR Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency is seeking proposals to design and develop an agile Software Defined Radio system featuring multi-band operation, advanced frequency management, and enhanced processing capabilities for interceptor platforms. The contractor must deliver drop-in or near drop-in radio replacements featuring independent RF chains capable of rapid frequency hopping, adaptive frequency selection, and make-before-break handover mechanisms across S, X, and Ka bands. This ITAR-restricted program requires temperature-controlled timing, NIST-approved encryption, survivability under MIL-STD environmental limits, a projected CMMC Level 1 certification, and the capability to transition to a classified environment during Phase II. Interested offerors must submit proposals under solicitation number 26.TZ for topic MDA26TZ04-NV004 by the closing deadline of August 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
