The Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking proposals for a subscription-based, real-time Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) detection, tracking, and identification technology. The objective is to design and develop an affordable and scalable system that provides authorized DoD users with tailorable data feeds of UAS identity, location, and altitude. The technology is intended to enhance the safety, security, and protection of DoD personnel, facilities, and assets from UAS threats. Proposals should address novel or efficient methods for detecting, tracking, and identifying UAS, as well as data fusion, storage, and secure data provision to authorized DoD entities. The proposed solutions should be compatible with current and future FAA remote identification standards and rules, and integrate with existing and future DoD information systems. The project will have a Phase I (Direct to Phase 2) and Phase II, with Phase III focusing on transitioning the technology to operational capability. The solicitation is open until October 18, 2023.
