The Department of Defense (DOD) is seeking proposals for the topic of "Real-time Computational Enhancement of Video Streams" under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The Navy branch is specifically interested in developing and implementing efficient computational algorithms for fast, low-latency deblurring, denoising, and super-resolution of video streams under dynamic conditions. The goal is to enhance imagery in real-time by removing blur and artifacts, improving signal-to-noise ratio, and providing super-resolution. The algorithms and hardware should be scalable, future-proof, and capable of sustained operation. The project will be conducted in three phases, starting with feasibility analysis and culminating in the design, fabrication, and testing of a prototype system. The final product should have military applications in surveillance and technical intelligence, as well as commercial applications in security, police surveillance, and medical imaging. The solicitation is closed, and more information can be found on the Defense SBIR/STTR Opportunities website.
